this is what its down to, all the programs i use on my machine

-- COMMUNICATION
mutt - a CLI mail fetching and sending program with simplicity
irssi - a CLI IRC client that just plain rocks
profanity - a CLI irssi like xmpp protocol messenger

-- GAMING
nethack - a CLI adventure game where you must recover the amulet  of yendo and
bring it to the astral plain and sacrifice it to thair god to achieve demigod
status and leetness overwhelming

Kolision - you play a blue ball controlled by the mouse dodging red balls...
think it's easy? on Debian my record was 54 seconds, hard difficulty.
(cuz HARD is the only way to play)

-- FILE SHARING
mc - i didnt even know this was a CLI file manager with built in ftp
abilities!, this has knocked filezilla ouit of the game. Sorry Feds,
everything  on my computer is 100% legal :) 

-- WEB SURFING
Firefox - Modern browser

elinks - a CLI browser for when all I'm searching for is something to read, i
fire up this and i get a web browser that doesnt load ADs.. and bypasses
all the 100gb of graphics you have to load to get to 1k of informartion.

__ OTHER
Kolorpaint - the mspaint of kde

konsole - the best terminal emulator cause its a lot like tmux, screen, or
dwm.

vim - vi, improved. CLI text editor with a yacht of shortcuts

those are all the programs i use all day.
