Why I use elinks, a text based browser, in 2025.
Have you ever seen a webpage that's got 500mb of video, code and pictures, and displays less than 1k of actual content?
I FUCKING HATE THAT!!!!!!!!
Elinks is the perfect browser if you just want to read something.
Yes.. and since elinks doesn't have images, there are no ads popping up.
There's no malacious javascript code that runs.
Of corse it lacks video, audio and photo, but look, if you just need INFORMATION use elinks.
